Wisdom from the mouth of a child--but who is listening?

A 12-year-old Canadian girl, Severn Suzuki, gave this speech in 1992 to world leaders at the UN Earth Summit meeting.  Please watch this short video (about 7 minutes long) to hear her words. They touch the heart, the soul, the spirit -- and will bring tears to your eyes.  This was in 1992, 16 years ago.  Look around you. Look around the world today.  No more needs to be said. I can only hope and pray that Obama will be the one world leader who hears the pleas of our children -- and leads the world in a different direction.
