Republicans impeaching Spitzer?...

The Republicans love to impeach, as long as it's not one of their own. And they especially love to impeach for sexual transgressions. Starting a war on lies, allowing torture, shredding of the Constitution, taking away of civil rights--none of those are impeachable offenses in their eyes, as long as it is a Republican who is doing it--(even if he is a brainless idiot). They'd rather let the ship of state go down than take action against one of their own.

Hypocrisy is everywhere in politics--but Republicans are always rough and ready to drive the stake into a Democrat. Am sorry to say cowardly Dems will never take the same action against a Republican.

Having said that, I believe the hypocrite Spitzer should resign. He should have resigned yesterday. He must be thinking, "Well, look at what Bush and Cheney have gotten away with, and they're still in power." Sorry, Eliot, it doesn't work that way.
