Payroll Tax Showdown: reveals true colors of GOP

http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2011/12/payroll-tax-showdown-what-it-means-to-you/

Republicans are finding themselves between a rock and a hard place.  They've painted themselves into a corner on tax hikes.  Grover Norquist's puppets, sometimes known as Republican senators and representatives, have pledged to never, ever raise taxes.  But we're now seeing that vow applies only when the richest 1% are involved. Taxes can't be raised on them.  But with the poor and middle class it's a different story.  If the payroll tax extension is not passed in the House (the GOP representatives are against it), $1,000 more in taxes will be exacted from the middle class and poor next year.  It's our gift from the Republicans whose corporate CEO masters gave themselves a 27% increase in salary this year.

If ever we needed proof of the real Republican intentions, here it is, folks!  But don't be at all surprised if the Tea Party supporters/right-wing fanatics continue to swallow the party line put out to them by Boehner, Limbaugh, Gingrich and the rest of the bought-and-paid-for defenders of the 1% against the 99% (that's us).  In their eyes, the rich deserve massive wealth and the rest of us are just "freeloaders" who should be denied any kind of help to get us through the economic depression caused by the 1%

Right wing voters should have bumper stickers on their cars, reading
"I vote against my own interests. Proudly loyal to the GOP through ignorance."  The last word should actually be "stupidity" but they think of themselves as very intelligent and it's impossible to burst that bubble they live in. They really are proud of their ignorance/stupidity that keeps them voting for people and policies that work against them and their families.
