End of the Ex-Gay Movement? Leader admits he can't change sexual orientation

A prominent leader bolts, just the latest blow to those who believe sexual orientation can be altered.  From the Daily Beast site, Michelle Goldberg reports on John Smid's about-face.

Unfortunately, though admitting gays can't be "cured," Smid still seems to think homosexuality is a sin and "perversion." (Even though sexual orientation begins at birth.)  No doubt filled with guilt, he remains one of the Christians who follow a religion I think Christ would not recognize because of its lack of empathy, understanding and compassion toward others, as Jesus exhorted in his time.
