The hardships of the one percent

Tiger Woods' ex-wife destroys house

Tiger Woods' ex-wife, Elin Nordegren, just demolished her $12 million Florida mansion so she can build a new home on the same plot, according to TMZ.

No truth to the rumor she wants another house with more fireplaces to burn even more money.

Nordegren bought the North Palm Beach home in March, eight months after she finalized her divorce from Woods, receiving a $100 million settlement.

The former Swedish model -- she's still Swedish, just not a model -- decided not to move into the sprawling six-bedroom, eight-bathroom property with her two children by Woods. Instead, she just leveled the place.

It must be awful having money.

Nordegren hired an architect to help build her a new dream home, and every worker involved in the project is required to sign a confidentiality agreement, according to TMZ. Or she'll hit them with a golf club.

There's no estimate when the 32-year-old's new house will be finished. In the meantime, she is living in a nearby mansion inside the private community.
