Meryl and Maks won the championship tonight -- very well deserved.  These two have an incredible chemistry. Meryl, who won a gold medal at the Olympics in figure skating, is a sweet little thing with a tiny body and tiny voice -- Maks, a big muscular Russian dance pro, has had a temper like a big bad bear in previous years on the show.  Meryl somehow magically transformed him into a lovable teddy bear.  It was quite a feat, remarkable to see as their dancing partnership progressed over the weeks.  And he transformed her from a little girl (she is 27 but looks about 16) into a femme fatale, full of fire and passion.  A totally entrancing season - the best ever!

Watch their dance on the video included in the above link -- their chemistry and dance technique are so mesmerizing, it's impossible to take your eyes off of them.  This dance brought tears to the eyes of one of the judges and some in the audience.  It's a feast for the eyes -- and the heart.
