New island forming off near Japan looks like Snoopy

Bonin Island - An active Volcano about
170 miles south of Japan is in the process
of creating a new island.

Originating very close to Nishi-no-shima
("Western Island"), the new land has steadily
grown and is now beginning to overlap with
Nishi-no-shima, merging the two.

A twitter user @tekken8810 pointed out its
similarity to Charles Schulz's iconic cartoon
character, Snoopy. And once you see it, it
cannot be unseen.

Unfortunately the volcano is still quite active,
so the island probably won't remain in its cute
beagle shape for long.

Worse, any earthquakes associated with the
formation of this island in the area could spell a
global calamity, if the currently-listing Reactor
#3 building falls over and releases another
enormous airborne plume of hot particles
throughout the Northern Hemisphere.
