One thing you can say about the Donald: Except for the declining appearance of his aging body, he never changes. The entire article gives a picture of Trump that show him for what he is, the ultimate conman -- and gives a sense of how he was able to fool so many who voted for him. I particularly like the last couple sentences that tell exactly what the entire world has (sadly) now come to recognize/realize about this man:
Trump...had aspired to and achieved the ultimate luxury, an existence unmolested by the rumbling of a soul. "Trump"—a fellow with universal recognition but with a suspicion that an interior life was an intolerable inconvenience, a creature everywhere and nowhere, uniquely capable of inhabiting it all at once, all alone. ♦
