I was surfing through the internet looking at different organic foods sites and came upon this very sweet site that is connected with a macadamia nut farm on the Big Island of Hawaii. http://www.alwayschooselove.com/ The song they sing is wonderful for kids and adults alike -- and I love to watch the hula dancers dancing to it... I like the philosophy of the site, too, and that they have a garden made especially to attract butterflies and hummingbirds... I'm grateful for people like this in our world... "Always Choose Love” is a philosophy...and a choice. It's a choice that inquires into what it actually means to function in peace, appreciation and joy even within a larger culture of mass negativity and fear. To choose to offer encouragement and kindness, instead of contributing to hopelessness and ill-will. To choose to give our restless minds something gracious and restorative to tune into, rather than succumb to the paralysis of cynicism and apathy. To choose to trust....the vast mystery of life itself, even when things around us are challenging or don't make sense.
We're learning what it means to be of service, and how doing so enriches our lives. Sometimes it's not easy! But the alternative does nothing to enoble humankind or nurture the abundant life of this astonishing planet. Very simply, doing our best is this choice...
