George Carlin -- a genius -- he will be missed

When pushed to explain the pessimism and overt spleen that had crept
into his act, he quickly reaffirmed the zeal that inspired his lists of
complaints and grievances. "I don't have pet peeves," he said,
correcting the interviewer. And with a mischievous glint in his eyes, he
added, "I have major, psychotic hatreds." (~.~)

I got more laughs from this man than anyone else on the planet. God
bless you, George -- I hope one day I can catch your act on the other
side (~.~)....

**MOST IMPORTANT VIDEO** - CHEMTRAILS and THEIR DANGERS

**MOST IMPORTANT VIDEO** -- CHEMTRAILS and THEIR DANGERS

Following is one of the most important videos anyone could watch these days -- it's very short, but contains information vital to everyone. I am hoping Obama will address this once he is in office as president -- and inform us what is being done to us -- and why?!!! Please watch this video -- and observe the skies above you. No matter where you live, you will see chemtrails being spread in your skies at one time or another -- they are visible here in Santa Cruz almost on a weekly basis. Seeing clear blue skies here is the exception, rather than the rule.

We are all being used as guinea pigs by our governments around the world -- and our questions about this are being ignored and ridiculed by those governments. Does this sound familiar? The same thing has been done regarding UFOs. We are a captive population, under the rulership of our governments who apparently think they can do just about anything to us without ever having to give reasons or explanations. The self-appointed "elite" believe they can treat the "ignorant masses" (that's us) any way they choose -- and keep us ignorant of their intentions.

As residents on planet Earth, I believe we are owed the truth when military planes above our head are laying down a mysterious vapor to cover our skies, without notice and without explanation. What is this vapor composed of? Why is this being done? And why haven't we been informed and given a chance to vote on it?

Please watch the following video and pass it along to your e-mail list if you find it important. If your curiosity is not piqued enough by the chemtrail phenomenon to give you concern for your own health, please consider the health and welfare of your children and grandchildren. We need to have an answer! More and more people are writing about this to their local newspapers and their Congressional representatives. I have written letters of this nature (and had one published in the San Jose Mercury News) and also called my representatives. So far, their aides who answer the phones claim not to be aware of chemtrails. I've told them to just go outside and look up in the sky. I will now be sending this video link to my representatives and see if I get an answer. Those of you who share my concern might want to do the same. Thanks.

McCain's youtube problem just became a nightmare

See this short video of McCain in his own words -- even if you're a Democrat, it makes you actually wince with pity for him. He is way out of his league running for president -- but then, we've had another one just like this, and he's still in the White House. Just shows that some people will vote for a proven liar/loser as long as he is labeled a Republican. God help us if we have to endure four more years of a Bush/McCain presidency!

John McCain debates with himself -- great short truth video

The candidates have to be extremely careful these days in making new
statements, when videos of their previous statements are available on
the Internet. Here is an example of McCain versus McCain:

Important for those who want the truth

This article reports the latest smear by the right wing against Obama and his wife:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080612/ap_on_el_pr/obama_smears

Snopes.com has a huge listing (getting longer by the day!) of the right-wing rants/lies against Obama. Get prepared for the onslaught of this type of stuff on the Internet. The Republican Smear Machine operates without conscience. It will unload all of its venom on Obama. I know this. You know this. And Barack Obama knows this. Instead of just enduring it without comment as Kerry did in the 2004 election, the Obama campaign has established a web page to combat the Swiftboating lies that will be created and spun against him by the right wing in this election. Those interested in truth can see it at: http://www.fightthesmears.com. I would advise any McCain/Bush supporters to check this site or www.snopes.com before they forward e-mail smears on Obama that have been sent to them.

EXACTLY WHAT I HAVE BEEN SAYING

Yesterday, Michelle Obama's fist bump with her husband was all the news on every network! Yet we hear nothing about the major story of the Bush/Cheney lies that took us into Iraq in an unnecessary war--and certainly we hear nothing from our mainstream press about holding them accountable! SHAME on our media!!! It is a media we can no longer trust to give us truth.

Jon Stewart Slams Media for Blacking Out Iraq War Lies Report

From www.crooksandliars.com

The Daily Show reports on the media’s failure to report on the Senate report that proves the Bush administration knowingly lied to us about the reasons for war. Surely the “Big Three” have more important things to cover.

video_wmv Download Play video_mov Download Play (h/t Heather)

Stewart: “Let’s go back to the Big Three, that’s where real Americans get their news. Charlie Gibson, cover it!”

Gibson: “Something that doesnt happen every day, and certainly doesn’t happen twice..a well-know French daredevil named ‘Spiderman’…”

Stewart: “Yes, he was climbing the New York Times building. Perhaps looking to read the story about the administration leading us into a war that you didnt cover at all! At all!

For a “fake news” anchor, Jon Stewart sure does a better job reporting actual news than the entire mainstream media combined. I’m sure Stewart wouldn’t take offense when I say that that’s pretty sad.

Love is...(from the mouths of children) A MUST READ

This one is a KEEPER! (Have a handkerchief handy.) My special favorites are the replies of Billy-age 4, Bobby-age 7, and Karen-age 7 (~.~) And, of course, the very last one....

Slow down for three minutes to read this. It is so worth it.
Touching words from the mouth of babes.

What does Love mean?

A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds, "What does love mean?"

The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined. See what you think:

"When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore.
So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love."
Rebecca- age 8

"When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different.
You just know that your name is safe in their mouth."
Billy - age 4

"Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other."
Karl - age 5

"Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs."
Chrissy - age 6

"Love is what makes you smile when you're tired."
Terri - age 4

"Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK."
Danny - age 7

"Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more.
My Mommy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss"

Emily - age 8

"Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen."
Bobby - age 7 (Wow!)

"If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate,"
Nikka - age 6
(we need a few million more Nikka's on this planet)

"Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday."
Noelle - age 7

"Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well."
Tommy - age 6

"During my piano recital, I was on a stage and I was scared. I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling.
He was the only one doing that. I wasn't scared anymore."
Cindy - age 8

"My mommy loves me more than anybody .
You don't see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night."
Clare - age 6

"Love is when Mommy gives Daddy the best piece of chicken."
Elaine-age 5

"Love is when Mommy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford."
Chris - age 7

"Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day."
Mary Ann - age 4

"I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her old clothes and has to go out and buy new ones."
Lauren - age 4

"When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of you." (she has the cartoon image down pat! :-) )
Karen - age 7

"Love is when Mommy sees Daddy on the toilet and she doesn't think it's gross."
Mark - age 6

"You really shouldn't say 'I love you' unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget."
Jessica - age 8

And the final one -- Author and lecturer Leo Buscaglia once talked about a contest he was asked to judge.
The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring child.

The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife.
Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there.
When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said,
"Nothing, I just helped him cry."

Scientists can't explain it: The universe is expanding at an ever-increasing rate

See: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/06/03/science/03dark.html?_r=1&8dpc&oref=slogin

EXCERPT: “Before the discovery of the dark energy, quantum physicists tended to assume that the ‘vacuum’ we live in has some deep meaning that reflects nature’s deepest secrets,” Dr. Witten said. But if ours is only one of a zillion in a haystack, there is nothing special about it, no secret to be found.

I think there is a secret to be found -- but it can't be done with the mind. It's an "AHA!" discovery that comes like a lightning bolt, outside of the mind and any mental process. It's an individual experience that opens all the doors. The secret is closer to the brain scientist Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor's experience/discovery. See her being interviewed by Oprah in a video you can find at www.oprah.com.

For me, the site that explains this experience best is at www.thenaturalstate.org The "Pointers" on that site are exactly that: pointers, like a finger pointing to something that one can only discover for oneself. It's inexplicable by the mind, so you have to follow the pointers...kind of like a child's puzzle (~.~) or one of those Mystic Eye puzzles filled with colors but no discernible shapes--and you stare at it until something clicks and your eyes go into a different mode of seeing--and there is a 3-D picture!

The secret to the universe is found within oneself. What a miracle! And yet, so absolutely natural. Of course. (~.~)

Quantum physics and its searches for "dark energy" can take scientists only so far, because they are external searches--and never ending, because the mind keeps producing more and more questions...and more and more searches. Quantum physics has uncovered some pointers that direct the scientists to look within, but they keep shoving those pointers away; the mind always wants an external absolute answer. For instance, it blew their minds when the scientists discovered that they themselves were part of their own experiments--that when they put themselves in as observers in an experiment with electrons, the electrons acted differently! See the fascinating little cartoon video explaining this: http://www.videosift.com/video/Quantum-Physics-Double-Slit-Experiment-amazing-results
This raised the all-important question: What does the observer (us) have to do with it all? Is everything actually connected in such a way that we cannot observe and understand the mystery from an objective distance, but are actually part of a great whole?

Nothing can be as important or exciting as this journey of discovery--with the answer being found within. I highly recommend an inner search! (~.~) You never know WHAT you might discover! The above suggested links provide an amazing start.

Cult of Deception -- a good description!

Scott McClellan discovered he was in a cult and that it was misusing him for its own ends...isn't that what all cults do?  Maureen Dowd tells it quite well in today's column:
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/06/01/opinion/01dowd.html?em&ex=1212552000&en=fcf58ecff7b665d8&ei=5087%0A

Only one wrong-sounding note in McClellan's book--he still seems unwilling to detach himself completely from Bush, about whom he says, "I feel affection and admiration for him."  I have seen this same kind of dissonance in others who have left cults that injured them and their fellow members. It may be a way of convincing yourself that your judgment wasn't too bad. When I was in a cult, my judgment was bad and I feel no admiration or affection for the cult leaders who led me and others down the wrong path. Their agenda, like Bush's, was a strictly selfish one, motivated by greed and lust for power.  There is nothing to admire in that. Just my own opinion.
