Autism rates jump 57% in just 4 years -- WHAT is GOING ON?

This is an incredible increase! Yet investigative efforts and sufficient government funds to discover its cause are not forthcoming (though we can always find more money for war and for bailing out banks). Many suspect the multi-vaccinations babies are now subject to, often 6 or 7 at one time(!) are responsible. Numerous parents have reported that autistic behavior appeared shortly after their child received these inoculations. There may be a genetic factor involved that causes some children to be susceptible in this way. But how will we ever find out if this is true? Do you really think that Big Pharma, the A.M.A. and F.D.A. are going to admit such a thing and risk suits by parents whose children were adversely affected by the vaccinations? Information like this would be immediately swept under the rug--just like the information about the terrible, deadly effects of depleted uranium (used in our weaponry in war) on our soldiers, their families, and on the Iraqi people. Whenever anyone brings it up, the Pentagon shoves it deeper into a black hole. EXCERPT:
"Two decades ago we were looking at a prevalence of one in 5,000 children. Now we're looking at one in 100. That really is a staggering increase," Geraldine Dawson, PhD, chief science officer of advocacy group Autism Speaks, tells WebMD.

Dawson said the new numbers justify a huge increase in federal spending on research and treatment.

"The question is what will it take for the federal government to begin to respond to this crisis," Dawson says. "President Obama during the election campaign made a promise that there would be a billion dollars spent every year on finding the causes of autism. We feel that this kind of data coming from a CDC study really requires that level of response."
