14 YEAR OLD BIGOT'S RADIO SHOW TAKEN OFF AIR

If the political party with which I was affiliated was filled with bigots like this young man, the Tea Party crowd, and the so-called "Christian" ministers who are preaching hatred against gays and blacks, I would immediately know I was in the wrong party--and would leave it PRONTO!  The Democrats are far from good, but the Republicans own the bad and the ugly.

I watched a clip from the movie South Pacific on a PBS biography of Oscar Hammerstein last night.  Hammerstein was a liberal thinker, a man without prejudice -- and he made many heartfelt statements against bigotry in his lyrics in several of the musicals written by him and Richard Rodgers.  The South Pacific song's lyrics are particularly poignant and unfortunately true.  John Kerr as Lt. For 14-year-old rightwinger Caiden Cowger it's too late -- he's already been carefully taught to hate all the people his relatives hate. Yes, he's been carefully taught and he's oh so ready to judge, condemn and vilify.  Thankfully, his radio show has been pulled.
