and I heartily agree with it.  It's happened to me, too.  The comments in blue below are my friend's:

It's happened, even to me. And believe me, I hang in there until I just can't take it when a friend who keeps making the same mistakes over and over and over again, without trying to make changes, before I give up...maybe not completely, but they'll hear less and less from me when I hit this point.
